Professional Statement

Welcome to my professional portfolio! At this site you will be able to access my professional statement, my personal engineering process, descriptions of a few projects I worked on throughout my college tenure, as well as industry experience I have acquired.

I graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Kansas State University in December 2019, after which I began working full time at Wolf Creek Nuclear Operating Corporation in Burlington, KS. During my tenure at Kansas State I had the opportunity of pursuing many different engineering subjects including controls, thermal power system design, and computer-aided design via SolidWorks, among others. I was most drawn to power systems and pursued my passion at Wolf Creek, a nuclear power plant. I have had the  opportunity of  learning  many  new  and  interesting  subjects at

Wolf Creek, foremost of those being Cathodic Protection, which is a method of protecting buried pipes and structures from corrosion. I am the Cathodic Protection system owner and also work alongside many great engineers in the Engineering Fix-It-Now group. These two backgrounds have exposed me to many design opportunities as we look to improve systems and components around the plant. These opportunities have given me a new passion for mechanical systems design.

I enjoy learning new things, and am always seeking the next learning opportunity. In this way I can continue to grow as a professional and as an individual. I hope you enjoy your time at this site and that the projects you find here interest you as much as they did me.
